Shipping & Returns

Shipping Policy

Tatsu Hobby ships 5 days a week (Mondays to Fridays) and sometimes will ship on Saturday/Sunday as well

Orders will be shipped within 1-2 business days after the orders are successfully placed.

Pre-order items will be shipped once we receive the items arrived in our warehouse

If your order contain both pre-order and in stock items, the shipment default is to wait for all of the items to be in stock and ready to ship. However, you can specify in the special instructions section of your order if you want to ship those in stock items first and ship the pre-order items later on. Extra shipping charges will apply for this method though, just as if we're sending 2 different orders.

We at Tatsu Hobby use the service of FedEX Ground and United States Postal Service (USPS) First Class mail, Priority Mail or Parcel Post for our shipping purposes. The delivery time for these services ranges between 3-9 business days. However, if you need your item(s) to arrive sooner, we can provide you with express shipment using USPS rates. Please email us for such assistance. Please note that any fees related to customer's request for address change will be billed to the customers in addition to the shipping charge.

Shipment for any one item in US' lower 48 states will vary between $3 for smaller single item (such as decals) to $13 for single larger item. For combined item shipments, the maximum that we will charge is $25, so the more you buy, the more you save. Tracking number will be sent to customers within 24 hours of item(s) shipment.

We accept international orders to most parts of the world
If you have concerns that we might not be able to ship to your country or your country's shipping price is not defined, please email us first before purchasing an item.

The shipping methods that we offer for our international customers are these two:

  • USPS First Class Mail International: the most economical international shipping method available. This is the shipping method which price is listed on our shopping cart as you checkout. As of February 2010, most plastic model kits can not be shipped with this method due to the size of the box. This method is only available for items below actual weight of 4 lbs. No insurance or tracking number can be provided for this method.
  • USPS Priority Mail International: the second fastest and the second most economical shipping method available. Items that are shipped using this method are insurable and the service will be added if the customer requests so (an extra charge will be applied for insurance service). Our shopping cart automatically upgrades the shipping method from USPS First Class Mail International to this method if the total weight of items exceeds 4 lbs.
  • The delivery time for these two shipping methods are usually 10-14 business days. Please note however that we are not responsible for any loss or damage to packages that are shipped by USPS First Class Mail International. In this sense, no replacement shipment will be made either.

    If you need your items to arrive faster than 10-14 business days, we do offer USPS Express Mail International method which will deliver your items within 3-5 days. Please contact us for the shipping quote for this method.

    Order pick ups or walk in purchases are also possible if you're in San Jose, California area. Our warehouse address is 761 Mabury Rd Suite #80, San Jose, CA 95133.

    Return Policy

    Please contact us first before attempting a return for any returns that is not authorized by us will not be accepted.
    Tatsu Hobby accepts returns if the item(s) is returned within 14 days of customer's acceptance of the item(s) (checked by the tracking number).
    Item(s) has to be returned as it was sent: new and unopened in box.
    Items in Decals, stands & supplies category are not eligible for returns.
    Customer is responsible for shipping costs incurred to ship the item(s) back and 10% restocking fee will be charged for any returned item(s). Refund will be given as soon as we received and processed the item(s).
    Please note that the original shipping and handling charges paid are non-refundable.
